I have always found digital art to appear challenging, but after taking a computer graphics class this semester, it does not seem nearly as intimidating. There is so much to learn in all of the digital art programs and they are always being updated and changed. There is always something newer and better to learn. I have only been taught the basics of several programs, but I think that upon learning the basics, I can now progress further with this good start.
Though I have learned the basics of digital art making and I feel more confident in doing so; digital art is still challenging to make and takes lots of practice. I prefer to do more hands-on drawing in my digital artwork, but I have now started enjoying manipulating photos just as equally. I look forward to finding many more new ways to manipulate photos. I would also like to continue to explore the idea of manipulating photos and digital drawings together.
I enjoyed everything about this class and all of the programs we studied. However, my favorite program that we used would have to be photoshop. I enjoyed this the most because it was the easiest to use. I also use photoshop a lot on my own time at home and for a lot of my artwork. I think learning more of the basics of photoshop will help me progress further with my artwork in the future.
